This X-Men movie isn't going to be a sequel. Instead, it will be a prequel to the X-Men movies, and will be about Wolverine's origins. After fighting in wars and surviving, he joins a team of mutants who are bent on evil. This story sounds nice on paper, but not to me personally.
First of all, Wolverine's story starts in the first X-Men movie when he found Rough and hit a tree with his truck. The reason Wolverine is such a good character is because of his own mysteriousness. Through the film series, he discovers more and more about himself. As he does, he develops into a better human being.
But if X-Men Origins: Wolverine gives away the whole back story, how can Wolverine continue to develop? In X-Men 4, the audience will know more about Wolverine than he 'himself' does. It will be impossible for the audience to develop with his character.
Anyways, the audience already knows the ending to this new X-Men movie. Wolverine will have to fight the bad guys, but will loose his memory and friends in the end. The hard part... is every plot twist in between. All in all, this movie looks like it will not deliver a story. Unless the writers, directors and producers have a magic touch, this will be difficult movie to make enjoyable.
